How To Delete Saved Files In Gpsphone
nineteenth-century Spanish king's heart
@ s
Dear readers:
When I spend a few days without finding new 'free Cuba' in the English book market, I tend to dive in network for interesting references. And here's this book published in Mexico.
As we await the miracle of its publication in Spain, see this very good review:
"THE HEART OF THE KING"
of Felix Luis Viera
The protagonist is a poet who hates vagazo revolution and its dehumanizing process and uniformity. The book is full of linguistic innovations and original contributions as well as structural subtleties and verbal which persuades us that this is a master storyteller who manages expertly magician materials ... that can not be rich but to the end, juicy, full of wit and joy, like the people of Cuba, undoubtedly one of the happiest in the world.
master
There are chapters, such as cane cutting and recounting the vicissitudes of the Cubans in the endless lines to get some rare items or dedicated to the intimate life of literary creatures attractive (but in this novel you do not think characters but in people: I repeat: this is a new kind of realism, very attractive, as attractive reflecting reality) to the delirium. Scarcity of some commodities in Cuba is the dominant theme and the blind worship of the Communists (believe or not) to the revolutionary processes. Queues attended Cubans who remain stubborn for days waiting to get a blender, a shirt, whatever. There are memorable scenes picaresque. Many chapters take place in bars and nightclubs. The characters drink endlessly and discuss their views. There are plenty of citations, bookish, apparently referring to the themes of communism, but they are introduced properly. Fornicating, sleep, drink, dig the basics through illicit means, writing dream ... this is the poet's life and many dissidents.
The novel is interesting not only for being a credible and gritty picture of the Cuban reality. It is indeed a strong treaty, well thought out, with undoubted knowledge of the facts, which assesses the Cuban system, habits, weaknesses, successes of the system. The novel is also a tasty literary reconstruction of the city of Santa Clara, refurbishment completely distant from all manners.
Cuban dissidents to this novel can become a Bible or a detailed treatise of life on the island (completed five years ago, is perfectly valid, forwards and backwards: Cuba remains the same, good and bad - 50 years and who knows how long: this image of eternity is perfectly embodied in the novel). For the revolutionary pro can contribute to awareness and recognition of system failures. Without ceasing to be an exquisite novel, is a testimonial document like few others.
texts generally prefixed to the novel as a prologue, I found a file useless and even harmful, as they want to warn the reader of the importance of the work about to be read. Which he has placed this novel, written by Abel Germain, it seems appropriate, measured and useful. Read after the enjoyment of the novel allows us to relive the work and reassess its moments and characters, all memorable, in the same way that a group of people long for absent friends. No doubt the characters in this novel by Felix Luis Viera become lasting friends of the reader: the Samaritan woman, "homosexual official" Robertón, "lumpen social evil"; Benito de Palermo, recalcitrant communist, sincere, naive, Magali, sincere lover, bon vivant, opportunistic, they are all lovable, people worthy of long talks, rich creatures, and sometimes fallible irrefutable indispensable companions. Tasty reading, recommended. And would like Alfaguara prize or be awarded the Metro a Cuban work for a living have to swim between Miami and the City against all streams. Not long ago I heard a lecture from a director of Metro: "If you ask what good literary work published last year, would have to admit that no". I felt really sorry for the individual, an important figure in Mexican culture, respected by many large. While sending the market will continue to look for the best literary publishers in the slums. In the words of Mercedes, the mistress of the poet after tremendous recalcitrant caught in the final chapter of the novel has this tremendous iron Cuban narrative. What I remember reading the novel Marginautas, another remarkable storyteller, Uruguayan Adolfo Guidali Etcheverry, which 300 copies were published! Definitely: literature is elsewhere, not the corporations. Twice I read the work of Felix Luis Viera, one in manuscript and another book. In both cases I enjoyed it intensely. It's like a living heart in your hand. © cubaencuentro.com

"THE HEART OF THE KING"
of Felix Luis Viera
From Three Trapped Tigers by Guillermo Cabrera Infante, had not read a novel as delicious, with the spark of the average Cuban and substrate Reader is undoubtedly Felix Luis Viera
Marco Tulio Aguilera, Xalapa Cuban. There are a harmonious combination of work: dialogue, monologue, reflection, ideological discourse, narrative twists, all in a single stream in the manner of Joyce, but without its complications learned. Very well managed, indirect style gives it an original rhythm to work. Phrases fast, direct, effective. Sincerity, read naturally, flowing directly to the heart of the reader. From the reading of Three Trapped Tigers Cabrera Infante, had not read a novel as delicious, with the spark of the average Cuban and substrate Reader is undoubtedly Felix Luis, this Cuban living in Mexico, which survives in this country the trouble that has all natural good writer in these countries and in these times (hardly a good writer find a publisher who wants to mass media to risk their capital: in these days are looking for more mass production and conventional product quality, is stimulated more than the stupidity that intelligence is sought more obsequiousness to the healthy rebellion). Viera's novel presents characters who are opposed to the communist regime but also those who are in your favor. It is, therefore, a Manichaean work: not a furious argument against a regime whose shortcomings have been pointed out stubbornly, or a song to a system that boasts idyllic above realities rather than contradictory. The treatment of sex in this book is a realism that could be thumping for the souls prudish, sometimes barbaric realism, devoid of poetry or poetry possesses a different, subject to a kind of pragmatism almost biological. It appears, more than demonstrated that the rejection of religion promoted by the system, has developed new patterns of behavior. The sexual is stark, but not unpleasant. It just shows a different view to that prevailing in those countries where religion is a fundamental part of life. Sexuality without myths, without fantasizing, direct, very Caribbean. Joyful, greedy, fierce, funny, desperate, not gnawed or perverse, but everything. characters: the poet-protagonist who does not want to work on anything that contributes to the "revolution" it away from the heart of absolute sincerity and devoted to reading, to drink, to exploit his lover and do all sorts illegal businesses (illegal in Cuba in any other country laws). Other characters: the convinced communist and fanatical, the typical homosexual, the intellectual who is unfaithful to his wife with a girl.

THE VOICES OF THE DEVIL
FAILURE AND LESS! @ S
Dear readers: I again
THE VOICES OF THE DEVIL CIEN
@ s Dear readers: When still echo in the echo of our best memories literary voices of the characters in "The Hours of the soul, we welcome the news the imminent publication of the "hundred voices of the devil", the next novel by Ana Cabrera Vivanco. We can venture, without risk of error, that this new book will come to reaffirm the indelible mark that Ana Cabrera left in the panorama of Cuban literature.
From his earliest known work in Spain, we can assert that this author is now part-own right-of history of our literature.
We were on the lookout for this new publication, which informed promptly, in the same space as it occurs. (Apparently will be released in early or mid-February 2011). ____________________________
This new book will be also published by Grijalbo / Random House Mondadori. ______________________
